Pay Per Click (Search Engine Marketing) and Display Ads
Pay Per Click Search Engine Marketing
Pay Per Click (PPC) is a digital marketing term used to describe running ads on various platforms, like Google, which drives traffic to your website. For every click your ad receives from a potential customer, your business is charged a fee. Although usually found on platforms like Google and Bing, social media sites, such as Facebook and Twitter, are known to display PPC ads, as well. More information about this topic can be found on our Search Engine Marketing page.
Display Advertising is usually a picture, or a graphic, that is displayed on a website you are browsing. This website is usually not affiliated with the ads to which you are viewing. For example, if you are reading an article on your local news channel’s website, you will most likely see advertisements surrounding the article in boxes for outside companies. You may even recall seeing a large banner at the top of a site with an advertisement. Those advertisements are display ads and are designed to help promote a business, product or service. They can be traditional, text-based ads, or even video ads. Due to their nature, they are geared towards converting potential customers quickly, if done properly.
